This is just a random pic spam from one of my favorite episodes of Lincoln. This is from the 2-Hour SP with the huge sports competition. However, I think this short segment made me laugh more than the actual competition!
They have to dress as their favorite hero (read as: sentai hero) but only with products from a 100 Yen Shop (equvivalent to 99 Cent Stores in the US and other places?)
To make matters worse, they could only spend 1,000 Yen! (~$10USD) So we're talking low budget. Everyone's outfits were bad (and at this rate, I'll probably post them all) but here's Hoto-chan's first! His made me laugh the most. I think it's his facial expressions. Here are the rest!
Look at everyone's expressions above him! Udo's in like shock, Hamada's srsly trying to figure out WTF he's seeing, and Mimura's like LOLOL.
Uh oh, close up. Yes, that is plainly a bowl on his head.
Oh My God, he has a gun. He smiles like that with a weapon?! This is the part that always gets me...
Here's the rundown of everything he used to make his outfit, including a bowl, black high socks, tin foil, corner racks, and tape. It all totaled 1,000 Yen exactly.
And the end comparison shot. Honestly, his and Otake's are the best. So if you can imagine THAT, wait to you see the worst...

So here's the first Weekly Lincoln Report! I plan on doing some previous episodes, just so I at least have all the 2010 episodes done but I'll backtrack later. For now, here's the 02/16/2010 episode! It's part one of the Hokkaido SP.
Watching this episode made me want to visit Hokkaido again! It looks really beautiful in the winter! When I went, it was summer and all the snow was gone. Well, they had a lot of fun, so it seems!
1. As you can see, they are quite
2. In comes Ogiyahagi who were just having a pretty lame looking snowball fight. They read a letter from that mysterious TBS producer (or is he a producer?) Ishikawa that said...stuff. Basically it's Hokkaido Fun Time, yay!
3. Also, is it just me or has Mimura gotten his ツッコミ groove back?! He's on fire in this episode!
4. Yes, he bought his snow shoes in Harajuku. So don't mess w/ him, 'kay? ♥
5. Teams are made between Ogi and Yahagi! They'll all participate in different Hokkaido based programs as guests and then finish off with one big program together!
Yahagi's team just got on a bus to their first location. How exciting!
6. ...あれっ? Why aren't they on a bus?! Ogi soon tells them that they gotta walk to their location. In the cold, harsh Sapporo-ian winter. O_O
7. Yahagi Team arrives to a small stadium for the Sapporo-based soccer team, Consadole. They find out that they're to record a commercial for the soccer team! What better way to promote sports than by having comedians who have no idea what's going on be your spokespeople?! Not to mention, this amazing exchange.
Miyasako: "兄さん、Don't you have some experience playing soccer?"
Matsumoto: "I don't have the experience of properly seeing a soccer ball..."
O_O Lets Go, Consadole?! .__.

After posting my Hannya Birthday post, I realized how long it had been since I posted. Well, I want to make a bit of a to-do list and maybe some "corners" or dedicated weekly/monthly posts to keep me active here. So here's the plan!
Upcoming Corners
週刊レッシアレポート | Weekly Red Theater Report (Tag: Weekly RT)
I'll try and do a report for Red Theater every week. As long as it's uploaded in time, this shouldn't prove as much of an issue.
週刊リンカーンレポート | Weekly Lincoln Report (Tag: Weekly Lincoln)
Same as above, but with Lincoln! This is my 2nd favorite show at the moment.
マンスリーアメトーーク | Monthly Ame Talk (Tag: Monthly AmeTalk)
Since Ame Talk has a lot of varied topics (some I'm not crazy about) I'll do a monthly post about it. Also, I haven't been seeing much of it? So I don't want to do weekly. LOL
All these new corners will be tagged from here on, so eventually they'll stack up and you can view their archives.
To-Do List
2010/02/04 週刊レッシアレポート | Latest Red Theater Report
I took some caps and posted them in my tumblr, but I'll do a report on it. It'll be the first of many in this new corner.
2010/02/03 週刊リンカーンレポート | Latest Lincoln Report
Same as above, but with the most recent Lincoln. It was a very funny Valentine Day episode! I'm excited. ^o^
baseよしもとってなんですか?! | What is base Yoshimoto?
I've been wondering what base Yoshimoto is for a while. Aside from it being in Osaka and apparently being lead by Jaru Jaru (or something?!) I have no idea what it is. A theater? A way of life?! So that's what this post will be about. XD I might do more on other popular stages for owarai around Japan.
女性お笑い芸人 | Female Owarai Geinin
The existing female geinin are sore thumbs amongst the masses of men that are in the genre. I want to look at the history and some of today's current female owarai geinin.
お笑いの先輩 | Owarai Seniors
Not like senior citizens, but Owarai Geinin who have been in the business for years on end. I don't think you can truly enjoy something without understanding it's history a bit. I want to look back as far as I can at the history of Owarai.
New Layout!
I think we've had Version 1 up for a while so hopefully I can create a new layout soon! I have no real plans for it, so we'll see how it goes~ [:
Otherwise, that's it! I'll get things all ready and refreshed!

Today is Satoshi Kanada's birthday! When I first became a Hannya fan, I slowly downspiraled into a fan of Kanatoshi. He's so silly, right? Then I realized he's extremely cocky! Normally that'd deter a person right? Uhm, well. Made me love him more! I like cocky guys. (Ninomiya Kazunari, anyone? LOL)
Beyond my silly fangirl wiles though, I remember days when me and my friend would talk about Kanada. We read his Wikipedia page and found out that he's the one who thought of all the jokes Hannya does. How cool is that?! I mean, I love Hannya's jokes! To think he's the mastermind, ufufufu~ It's great!
My favorite Kanada character is...its so hard to say! I can say good things about several of them. I think I will!
Also: new word for this blog that I just thought of; 「カナキャラ」って「金田のキャラクター」でございます!
Kanada Character will be called Kanakyara. See, word shortening. I can do it too, Japan! ^o^
Kosatani: I love Kosatani! I remember watching the Red Theater where his powers became apparent and he healed someone. O_O It was amazing! He used to talk a lot more when he did Kosatani on Age Age Live. Then on Red Theater, he barely spoke at all.
Kanakun: Like, the character he played as a middle school student. (Kawashima is Akibou. I love that name. XD) I loved their skits of Age Age Live the most! They got good on Red Theater as well, but my ultimate favorite skit is from Age Age Live.
It's called Microphone, I believe. They're messing around with a mic that's been random left out on stage. First they just touch it and get all giddy. Then they run up to it, alternatively shouting, "A-I-U-E-PE!" When Akibou says Pe, Kanada tsukkomi's him and keeps shouting, "What the hell is PE?!"
However, Kanada's tsukkomi was way too hard because Akibou's all in pain in stuff. However he's just kidding. XD Erm, I wont spoil the rest. Look it up on YouTube!
Those might be my two ultimate favorites?! Ugh, it's tough to say!!
I also remember that I've randomly has the most interaction with Hannya, so they will always be an owarai conbi close to my heart.
Kawashima's birthday was only a few days before, so I feel bad that I didn't post on it! However, I love Kawaquiz as well~
I hope they both have/had a great day! I saw on Kawashima's blog that they got him a birthday cake with his name on it. It was really cute!

As mentioned in this post, Jaru Jaru & Total Tenbosu appeared on the show School Revolution (スクール革命)!
I watched it today and it was pretty interesting.
One thing I didn't mention in my previous post (because I didn't realize it until later) was that Uchimura hosts it as well! I was pretty excited to see that.
Jaru Jaru & Total Tenbosu were featured as "Break-out Geinin." They were asked questions regarding that, and also showed their busy schedules.
The two acts each have eight regular shows in between them! On a funny note, Total Tenbosu didn't even recollect two of the shows listed.
A typical schedule for Jaru Jaru includes bouncing back and forth between Tokyo and Osaka by bullet train and plane. Sounds tiring!
However, they spoke of their success and steady schedules in good spirits. Of course though - who doesn't want to be busy in their career?
When asked how they finally decided to join NSC, Fukutoku explained that they sent text messages to each other, making the pact to go for it. Looking back at what they said (something about 男気, chivalrous spirit) it sounds really uncool. It's okay, they were fiery young men. 大丈夫だと思います!(笑)
Another funny Jaru Jaru moment was a story by Gotou, where he mentioned how his younger brother got a job with ANA. ANA is large airline company in Japan.
Well Jaru is the pronunciation of JAL, another airline company. Whether that's where Jaru Jaru got their name, I'm not sure and it's not relevant.
Anyways, his mother was like, "You're ANA and you're brother is JAL," and laughed a lot at her own joke apparently. Moms. ^^;;
Afterwards, I believe they followed the next corner up explaining how Ohmura from Total Tenbosu plays pranks on his partner, Fujita.
So they showed two of the pranks. One was where he put sparkler fireworks in his cigarettes. The other was when he covered the floor with lubricant so he'd slip. If he goes through that all the time - that is quite amazing!
So then it became a showdown!
Jaru Jaru's Fukutoku set up a false briefing for a television apperance that Gotou wasn't aware of. They had a fake manager go in. The catch is - she slapped anyone who disagreed with her! There was a small prank in there too where the profile on the papers given wasn't even of Jaru Jaru - it was of Total Tenbosu. LOL
Anyhow, the ladt ends up slapping Gotou after Fukutoku disagreed about something. He just mildly agreed. ._. 優しい! It was kind of sad, more so than funny since he didn't get angry. XD
Then, Kasuga played a prank of Wakabayashi. He put a baby pig in his green room! Apparently, Wakabayashi is afraid of pigs. It wasn't anything they stated, but he was jumping on the chair and table to get away from it! Also, Kasuga got tsukommi'd a good 2~3 times! It was great. ^o^
Afterwards there was a section with the regulars that featured nabe! I've never tried nabe yet, but I hope to this Fall/Winter in Japan!
All in all, it was an interesting show. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't so good that I'd watch again - lest another group of geinin I like appear. [:

Poor Yatabe, all alone!
Today's Ame Talk report is about the recent ○○Jyanai Hou Geinin SP.
To explain these Jyanai Hou episodes - several groups has the member or members who stand out. Whether it be their gags, facial expressions, or looks.
These geinin are the total opposite. The "Regular Johns" of their respected groups.
These are the Jyanai Hou Geinin.
On the initial Jyanai Hou SP, Hannya's Kawashima was there. I think we can all say in comparison to Kanada & his characters, he (Kawashima) does get a bit overshadowed.
I do love Kanada & his gags! However, I can't help but feel bad, or even sad for their overlooked partners.
On this 2010 Edition of the SP, we see some familiar faces from the line-up I was able to find, as well as some new members. The members are,
Garage Sale's Hiroki Kawata
U-Jikouji's Kaoru Fukuda
Hiking Walking's Hiroaki Matsuda
Drunk Dragon's Taku Suzuki
Doki Doki Camp's Mitsuharu Satou
Hibiki's Yuusuke Kobayashi
Wagaya's Shun Yatabe
Fruit Punch's Kentarou Watari
Knights's Nobuyuki Tsuchiya
Hakata's Daikichi Hakata
Dangerous's Kazuhiro Yasuda
Tenshin's Seitarou Mukai
Proof that these guys do get looked over was first realized by myself. I had to look up the majority of their names, save for Wagaya & Fruit Punch. Sorry, guys! This has opened my eyes.
Here are some of their stories of being overshadowed!
"We (Garage Sale) have been introduced as, 'Gori & company!' (「ゴリさんたち、おねがいします~」)" (Garage Sale, Kawata)
"It took them around ten minutes to remember my name." (Dangerous, Yasuda)
"I got mistaken for a regular otaku." (Tenshin, Mukai)
"The sound guy forgot to give me a pin mike." (Doki Doki Camp, Satou)
"A couple mistook me for Xabungle's Matsuo." (Hiking Walking, Matsuda)
"My manager has mistaken called me Gorita (ゴリ田さん)" (Garage Sale, Kawata)
"A student recognized us in a restaurant and asked to shake our hands. Shortly after, I went to the restroom and the same student I shook hands with told me, 'Wagaya is right over there!'" (Wagaya, Yatabe)
Sad, right? Lesson learned - learn about all members of your favorite groups! They feel bad. ]:

Rough Translation of the above article below!
January 10th was the release date for Audrey's new DVD, "Audrey's All Night Nippon." They held a commemorate event at Tower Records in Shibuya in honor of it.
The event was capped at 150 lucky people who won when they bought the DVD.
The program started in October of 2009 and has since met considerable success.
At the event, they also engaged in two popular corners from the radio show, 100ギネスを持つ男 and アメフトの小部屋. 1
At the end, Audrey told the guests, "We'll continue doing All Night Nippon with this feeling, so please send us listener mail."
1. I wasn't sure how to translate these without making no sense. Roughly it's like "Man with 100 Guinness," and "American Football Roomette."
I guess what confused/confuses me is...they film radio shows? Why not show it on TV? Might be my simple mind though - it's on radio for a reason. XD
