LOL, geeky!Destini at your service. I'm watching the most recent Ame Talk! with the Gundam Geinin and I still love this part. Does anyone like Gundam? Maybe? Not really? Anything before 2000? LMAO They compare Hotochan from Ame Agari to Acguy! It's funny because it's true. XD
LOL, I love Ame Agari. XD

Pink: Downtown, Blue: Ame Agari Kesshitai, Yellow: Summers, Green: Kyai~n
I have been watching a show called Lincoln for the past few days. It is amazing! Part of it stemmed from when I was talking to a friend. I was telling her, "The only geinin I'd be surprised if no one has ever even heard of was Downtown." Of course, I meant if you had you know...been into Japanese entertainment for a long enough period of time, music specifically. 'Cause you'd have to have seen HeyHeyHey once and they host that. So...with all those elements, it'd surprise me.
However, it made me think, "I know Downtown but...only as MC's for their show." So that's when I started looked up their current variety/comedy shows - rather, to see if they have one.
As you can see, they do! And stuff like the above happens on it! LMAO
Wikipedia explained that the purpose of the show is to show younger geinin how it's really done. That made me even want to watch it more. Like to, learn from the seniors of comedy. LOL~
All the geinin here are over 35, and have been doing comedy for at least 15+ years. So they really are well-versed in it. However, you'd never know because they're still really silly and funny. I don't even feel like I'm watching older guys, honestly. I think I know everyone's names from watching. Except the guy in Summers who's NOT Mimura. It's O...take, I think? Those are the kanji, anyways. LOL
D-Addicts even has it! In HD, wide-screen beauty. I was watching it both streaming & via Veoh direct downloads from my sekkrit owarai sawce. Now I can watch it all pretty and stuff.

Yay! A few days ago, I was on Mixi's Hannya community. There's a thread for magazine appearances, and it said that Kanada was gonna be in December's Popeye magazine. Popeye is known for having these like...super pale, odd haircut sporting foreigners on their covers & through out the magazine. So I was immediately like, "Zuh?! when they said he was gonna be in it.
So I've beenravenously patiently waiting for it to get uploaded and today, it happened!
My thoughts are...
★ I think he looks cute in black!
★ I don't think he can be completely serious if his life depended on it. XD
★ He's soooooo skinny. .___.
And I love it. The End! LOL
I also wondered, "Why him?" Then I thought while he doesn't look particularly foreign; like a lot of the half-Japanese models that are in like ViVi and stuff. I guess looking foreign or looking mixed is popular at the moment. I guess it might be because 1. He's pretty tall. 2. He's REALLY pale. 3. He's got big ol eyes. Weirdest reasons ever. I'm not saying he's not modeling material but he's a comedian and a supremely goofy one at that. So I was just wondering~

I know this is totally ばからしい and repetitive. However, remember the whole, Hannya reading my message on their show thing? I got the video yesterday~ [: Now I have a clear screen cap of it! Not that I was lying but you know. Clarity is nice. LOL!
Note: Yes I edited my spelling error!
Even after Maippe stayed up to make me feel better about it, I was still kinda embarrassed. マジで恥ずいよ! Still though, these are the guys who couldn't remember how to write yoru (夜) in the exact same episode! So...I guess it's no big deal. ^^;;
She did a rough translation of the video for me. Some really neat points I missedbecause I was freaking out.
Usually, Hannya decides who will get one of the prizes for having their message read on the show towards the end. She told me that they pretty much mutually decided to send me one when they saw my message. How epic is that?!
Then she said that Kawashima seemed really like, enthusiastic? Like, "This is from overseas! That's awesome!" Kind of thing.
Then we both agreed that Kanada is insecure. /un-related

『お誕生日おめでとう!』 むらけん~
It's late (by a day) but...To my other favorite boke of all time! I never thought that someone could make so many うざキャラ (irritating, annoying characters) and not irritate me to no end. It's like...an art form. It doesn't surprise me that you come up with a lot of Fruit Punch's skits - because they are as insane as you are.
If I know you well enough, you spend your birthday possibly drunk and in boxers. Or perhaps you got a ton of boxers as a gift! I still want the Yatterman ones I saw you in! Erm, weird birthday greeting is weird. Please keep singing horribly - or I'll have nothing to laugh at. I can't believe you sang Suga Shikao yesterday.........Happy Birthday!
And just because I might as well share a favorite Fruit Punch moment...
★ Library Skit | Pay attention for the epic English. LMAO
Apparently it's also Nakaoka Souichi's (from Lotti) birthday on November 8th as well, so happy birthday to him too! [:

【つっち、つっち!】 My Blackberry background at the moment, found on Pixiv!
Today, I was on Pixiv, looking through all 182 pages of Owarai fanart. That was the highlight of my day. I got so many, so much cuteness! It was an overload, seriously. I'm a happy camper. [:
Audrey and Non Style had the most fan art by far. They do traditional manzai comedy though. Which is basically stand up comedy here, but still has its own flavor. It's a category of its own and its kinda tough to do and understand. However, they do it well!
I prefer skit comedy, which is called conto in Japan. Red Theater, The Three Theater, etc are conto shows. Hannya is predominantly a conto combi (duo, pair). Since I grew up watching Saturday Night Live and In Living Color, it's pretty natural for me to lean towards conto, really. I love the different characters and (on Red Theater, for instance) situations they're put in to.
There's your tiny Owarai Lesson of the day.
I also learned today that there are many I guess...nicknames/abbreviated states for random comedians I like.
I saw Wagaya referred to as My Home (マイホーム) which is just the translation of their name. Warai no 3LDK which is like "Comedy's 3 Room House," because there are three members and their name refers to a house.
Then for both Wagaya, Shizuru, Kanada, and Kanada's character Kosatani, I saw a few artists who removed the vowels from their names regularly.
So Shizuru becomes SZR.
Wagaya is WGY.
Kanada was KND.
And Kosatani KSTN.
...and Destini becomes DSTN! LOL You can do it for any Japanese word or any...constant-ed...thing. Really. LOL
Then, Rozan was called 63 a lot. I assume its ro(ku), zan (or san, the s turns to z in a compound?) Or something.
